- 1986 Gary and Suzette Thornhill trading as G&S Thornhill bought first truck and trailer operating from Lucindale South Australia
- Commenced adding flat top and tautliners to service rural transport requirements IE wool, hay, grapes and vegetables
- Grew to South Australia’s largest Livestock Transport Company
- One of South Australia’s largest transport providers of grapes and onions moving some 800 tonnes per week during peak periods
- 1999 bought Trans Australian Livestock
- 2000 began trading as TransAustralian Livestock, retained G&S Thornhill to keep connection with client base
- 2008 Murray Bridge facility established
- 2005 expanded operations into Geraldton Western Australia with road train operations
- 2008 commenced branding company fleet in TAL livery as business had outgrown its humble beginnings
- 2016 registered Trans Australian Freight Management to be more in line with our diverse transport operation
